Fifth inmate at Michigan’s only women’s prison dies
A fifth inmate, Dasie Forbes, 69, has died at Michigan’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility since mid-May. Officials stated her death was expected due to multiple chronic illnesses, and no autopsy will be conducted. Four other inmates died between May 2 and July 23, with causes including suicide, a blood clot, and ongoing investigations.
