Core Scientific Adds More Bitcoin To Balance Sheet in Q2 Despite Selling Strategy
Core Scientific increased its Bitcoin holdings to 848 coins (worth over $54 million) in Q2 2025 by adding 301 coins through mining, despite previously selling Bitcoin to fund a transition to AI and high-powered computing. The company also signed a deal with AMD for 2.5 gigawatts of data center capacity and reported a significant rise in Q2 revenue and gross profit.
