Texas energy agencies respond to governor’s data center directive by requesting more authority from lawmakers

ERCOT and the PUCT have taken steps to regulate large energy consumers and are requesting the Texas legislature to expand their authority. The agencies responded to the governor’s directive on data center energy use by seeking additional regulatory power.
