Entry to Tiruvannamalai’s Idukku Pillayar Temple is restricted for obese, elderly, and ailing persons following the death of 36-year-old S. Manikumar from Andhra Pradesh’s Godavari district, who died of cardiac arrest while exiting a narrow passage after worship. The temple authorities implemented the restriction after the incident on July 25.
