Openreach nudges another 112 exchange areas toward full fiber

Openreach, the wholesale arm of BT, has added 112 exchange areas to its full fiber rollout, banning copper-based services where 75% of premises can access fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP). The company aims to activate 'Stop Sell' rules in 1,572 exchanges by August 20, affecting 15.4 million premises, while delaying PSTN phone service retirement to 2027 and increasing charges for legacy service providers.
