Brazil Moves to Add a Twice-Yearly HIV-Prevention Shot to Its Public Health System
Brazil is adding lenacapavir, a twice-yearly HIV-prevention injection, to its public health system. The drug, approved by health regulator Anvisa in January 2026, replaces daily pills and is administered subcutaneously for adults and adolescents.
