15-year-old who saved girl from sexual harassment killed in shooting months later
A 15-year-old boy, Da’Jon Anthony Hayes-Burr, who was stabbed while defending a 12-year-old girl from sexual harassment in April, was later killed in a shooting months later. A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with murder in the case. Da’Jon’s family and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear praised his bravery, and a GoFundMe was established for his funeral expenses.
