Woman to Woman: Charlotte nonprofit helps families find economic stability

Lakissha Chestnut, a mother of five, faced economic instability after an illness and hospitalization, leading to job loss and housing challenges. A counselor at West Mecklenburg High School connected her to Families Forward Charlotte, a nonprofit founded by Carrie Christian that provides mentorship, education, and financial literacy to help families achieve economic stability.
