Murfreesboro residents, pets escape house fire

Murfreesboro firefighters contained a house fire on Huddleston Avenue early Monday morning, allowing residents and two pets to escape safely. The fire originated in the attic and caused no injuries, with the Fire Marshal’s Office investigating its cause.
