Woman injured after Brightline train hits car in Fort Lauderdale, witnesses say

A woman was injured when her car was struck by a Brightline train at a Fort Lauderdale crossing, according to witnesses. The incident occurred early Monday morning, with the woman attempting to beat the train by driving around lowering arms but being dragged nearly a football field's length down the tracks. A bystander, Victor Carvalho, assisted her after the crash.
