The Kerala government is releasing 1.66 metric tons of rice and implementing a ₹53-crore free kit scheme to benefit over 6 lakh families ahead of Onam. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob stated efforts are underway to control food prices and ensure availability of essential commodities during the festival.
