Chinese scientists turn to bamboo to strengthen the Great Green Wall

Chinese scientists are using bamboo to combat desertification as part of the Great Green Wall project, replacing traditional materials like straw and plastic. Bamboo's resilience and sustainability address issues such as short lifespan and ecological risks in current sand-fixing methods. A five-year conservation plan for forests and grasslands was released by Beijing.
