Suit alleges Homeland Security targeted people observing, protesting immigration agents

A federal lawsuit alleges the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) illegally recorded and retaliated against individuals who observed or protested immigration enforcement actions, including revoking their status in trusted traveler programs like TSA Precheck and Global Entry. The suit claims DHS used facial recognition and license plate readers to target protesters, violating privacy laws, administrative procedures, and the First Amendment. The Electronic Privacy Information Center and three plaintiffs, including Minnesota resident Nicole Cleland, are part of the case.
