Andhra Pradesh launches AI platform to forecast urban floods; Vijayawada first
Andhra Pradesh launched an AI platform to forecast urban floods, developed by Real Time Governance Society, the State Disaster Management Authority, and IIT Gandhinagar. The platform uses 30 years of Budameru flood data and satellite terrain mapping to provide 48-hour rainfall forecasts. Vijayawada is the first city to implement this system.
