Israel kills head of northern Gaza police force

The head of the northern Gaza police force, Brigadier-General Abdel-Nasser al-Maqadma, was killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood. A Palestinian medic and a police officer who had been injured earlier also died in separate attacks. Israel claims many Gaza police members are Hamas fighters.
