Nashville plans to expand Beaman Park with 300-acre acquisition

Nashville plans to expand Beaman Park by acquiring 300 acres of land, more than twice the size of Centennial Park, containing an urban forest with trees aged 70-100 years and some over 200 years old. The Metro parks Board will consider transferring the property into the park system next month, with a final vote expected in September.
