UN chief arrives in Syria, likely to back post-Assad transition
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is visiting Syria to reaffirm support for the country's transition following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad by new authorities led by President Ahmed al-Sharaa. Guterres was received by Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani during his three-day visit.
