Maine Democrats are selecting a new Senate nominee to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins after Graham Platner withdrew from the race due to a sexual assault allegation. Former state Senate President Troy Jackson has emerged as the favorite, while women’s health company CEO Saundra Pelletier remains the only other candidate. The party must choose a nominee by Monday, 99 days before the November election.
