Gretchen Whitmer endorses moderate Haley Stevens in tight upcoming Senate primary

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer endorsed Rep. Haley Stevens for the U.S. Senate Democratic primary. Stevens, a moderate, faces progressive Dr. Abdul El-Sayed in a competitive race as early voting begins. The primary on Aug. 4 will determine the Democratic candidate to face Republican Mike Rogers in November.
