Former accountant sentenced for laundering $5.3 million stolen from healthcare system

Ronald Deabler, a former accountant, was sentenced to four years in prison for laundering $5.3 million stolen from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. A hacker tricked the hospital into wiring funds to Deabler’s account, which he then distributed via cashier’s checks before being caught and recovering most of the stolen money.
