Ebola virus: first person vaccinated in UK trial of new jab

A volunteer received the first dose of a new Ebola vaccine targeting the Bundibugyo strain in a UK trial, as part of efforts to address an outbreak causing over 1,000 deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda since May. Oxford University is leading the trial, with researchers working to develop a treatment for the rare strain.
