New cashless fares available for Mecklenburg Transportation System riders

The Mecklenburg Transportation System (MTS) has launched a cashless fare option for eligible seniors and disabled residents, allowing funds to be added to accounts for trips to destinations like medical appointments, grocery stores, and education sites. Non-Medicaid-approved trips cost $2.25 per one-way fare, payable via a newly implemented cashless system using credit or debit cards.
