Block Club Wins National Investigative Award For Midway Blitz Coverage

Block Club Chicago won a Sigma Delta Chi Award for Investigative Reporting for its coverage of Operation Midway Blitz, which examined federal immigration enforcement in Chicago. The project, titled 'Chicago Under Siege,' combined investigative, archival, and analysis techniques to document discrepancies between federal narratives and evidence from body-camera footage, ICE records, and court findings.
