[US] Lost $3,200 to a fake apartment rental and I don’t know what to do

A person lost $3,200 to a fake apartment rental scam after paying a deposit and first month's rent. Upon visiting the property, they found someone else living there, and the bank's fraud investigation confirmed the payments were authorized. The scammer blocked them and deleted the listing.
