12-foot great white shark ‘Ernst’ tracked near Montauk — and Atlantic’s largest ever could be right behind her

A 12-foot-long, 1,000-pound great white shark named Ernst was tracked off Long Island’s East End in late June. The Atlantic’s largest great white shark may also be approaching the area.
