Google breaks Alibaba’s record for Europe’s largest DMA fine
Google was fined €890 million by the European Commission under the Digital Markets Act (DMA) for prioritizing its own services in search results and failing to inform users about alternative app stores in its Play store. This surpasses Alibaba's previous record fine, with the total amount equivalent to less than 1% of Alphabet's annual profits.
