Don’t cultivate paddy this kharif, Andhra Pradesh tells Krishna delta farmers amid water crunch
Andhra Pradesh has advised Krishna delta farmers to avoid paddy cultivation this kharif season due to critically low water storage in Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar dams. Engineer-in-Chief K. Narasimha Murthy reported that Pattiseema pumping may last only 60-70 days, down from 100-120 days, prompting a shift to dry crops.
