Fake Notepad++ Plugin Delivers MATCHBOIL.V2 in UAC-0099 Attacks

The Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine (CERT-UA) has warned of a new campaign using a malicious program disguised as a Notepad++ plugin to attack Windows systems. The threat, attributed to the Russia-aligned group UAC-0099, involves delivering malware named MATCHBOIL.V2 and follows prior attacks exploiting WinRAR vulnerabilities.
