Pakistan-origin Saadia Zahidi to lead International Air Transport Association
Saadia Zahidi, born in Lahore, has been appointed as the new director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), succeeding Willie Walsh. She will assume the role on November 1, becoming the first woman to lead the organization. Currently a managing director at the World Economic Forum, Zahidi will focus on advancing sustainable growth and innovation in aviation.
