Sikkim green group announces “save Teesta” foot march
The Affected Citizens of Teesta group in Sikkim is organizing a foot march to demand fresh Environmental Impact Assessments and Social Impact Assessments for all hydropower projects. This follows a tunnel collapse at NHPC’s Stage-VI project on July 20, which resulted in 22 worker deaths.
