Foster child allegedly drowned in lake by two teens on local politician’s property: authorities

A 13-year-old foster child, Daryl Martinez Lowry, was allegedly attacked and drowned by two teenagers at a private boat dock on the property of McCormick County Council Chairman Bernie Hamby. Landen Austin Moore, 17, was charged with murder after investigators said he and an unidentified 16-year-old inflicted knife wounds on Lowry before holding him underwater until he died.
