New rail lines will connect central Mexico to the Pacific and points north

The Mexican government has initiated the second phase of its passenger rail program, aiming to connect central Mexico to Saltillo in the north and the Pacific coast via high-speed trains. The phase includes expanding links between El Bajío cities and advancing routes like Irapuato-León and León-Guadalajara, with future plans for a 1,100-km Pacific corridor linking multiple cities.
