Recall alert: 1.6M eggs recalled for possible Salmonella Enteritidis contamination
The FDA recalled nearly 1.6 million eggs produced by Midwest Poultry Services between June 6 and July 3 due to possible Salmonella Enteritidis contamination. The eggs, with sell-by dates between July 20 and Aug. 17, were distributed to retailers and foodservice companies in multiple U.S. states, including Kroger and Brookshire Grocery stores. Consumers are advised to return the affected products for a refund.
