Border K9 sniffs out 99 pounds of prohibited meat, plants and monitor lizard in suitcase from Thailand

A Customs and Border Protection K9 named Maisy detected nearly 100 pounds of prohibited items, including meat, plants, and a Bengal monitor lizard, in a suitcase from Thailand. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seized the monitor lizard, while CBP highlighted the importance of agricultural inspections to prevent invasive species and diseases.
