Miami-Dade deputies: Mother and son pretend to sell jewelry to steal from Synchrony
A 54-year-old mother and her 28-year-old son were arrested in Miami-Dade County for allegedly stealing over $670,000 from Synchrony Bank by exploiting its jewelry retailer financing partnerships. They used fraudulent identities to purchase jewelry through five Florida-based companies, with proceeds funneled into a JPMorgan Chase account linked to the son's LLC.
