Bertha skims across the northern Gulf Coast with little fanfare

Bertha, a weak and disorganized tropical storm, moved across the northern Gulf Coast with minimal impact, coinciding with extreme heat advisories in southern Louisiana and coastal Mississippi. Despite tropical storm warnings, most areas experienced dry conditions and high temperatures, while heavy rainfall over the Gulf caused localized flooding risks.
