Mohamed Ali Ahmad, a 21-year-old from Troy, was charged with reckless driving after allegedly speeding through a red light and crashing into a Ford Fusion, critically injuring a 27-year-old Bloomfield Hills man. The incident occurred at the intersection of Big Beaver and Livernois roads on July 18, and Ahmad was arraigned with a $50,000 bond.
