Warren man convicted of second-degree murder in 2008 killings of brother, sister-in-law

Jerome Kowalski of Warren pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the 2008 deaths of his brother and sister-in-law. His initial 2013 conviction was vacated due to misconduct by Judge Theresa Brennan, who had an affair with an investigator, and he was granted bond in 2023 after serving 13 years and eight months in prison.
