1 of 3 charged in connection with shooting death of Detroit 6-year-old pleads guilty

One of three men charged in the 2025 shooting death of 6-year-old Rylee Love in Detroit has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Deonate Cornealous Cherry, 28, agreed to a 20-40 year prison sentence and is scheduled for sentencing on August 21. The shooting occurred on July 27 at the intersection of Anglin Street and Stender Avenue.
