Number of women seeking a governor’s seat hits an all-time high
The number of women running for governor has reached an all-time high with 85 candidates across 36 states, including 51 Democrats and 34 Republicans. Over 580 women are seeking U.S. House seats, nearing a record, and 64 women are running for Senate, according to the Center for American Women and Politics.
