LG to Ban Residential Proxies from Smart TV Apps

LG Electronics USA plans to suspend smart TV apps that enable residential proxy nodes, following research revealing over 42% of LG webOS apps include such proxy SDKs. LG is working with developers to remove these components, threatening to block non-compliant apps, as security firm Spur found similar issues in Samsung Tizen OS apps.
