New Orleans leaders ask special prosecutor to drop charges against AG Murrill

New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno and city leaders requested a special prosecutor to dismiss criminal charges against Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill. The charges stem from a legal dispute over the appointment of an interim court clerk and an alleged threat to jail the appointee. A grand jury indicted Murrill on 16 counts of intimidation and malfeasance.
