The results of the autopsy of Nolan Wells will be released Wednesday, the family’s attorney says
The family of Nolan Xavier Wells, an 18-year-old Black teen found dead after a July 4 boat trip, will release an independent autopsy Wednesday. The autopsy, funded by Colin Kaepernick, aims to determine if Wells had injuries beyond drowning, as Mississippi’s medical examiner has not yet released its results. Racial tensions and unanswered questions about Wells’ disappearance with a group of white friends have prompted a $125,000 reward and calls for transparency.
