Montgomery Co. bill aims to prevent human trafficking on repeat at spas, bodyworks

A new bill in Montgomery County, Maryland, seeks to prevent individuals convicted of human trafficking or prostitution-related charges from opening new bodyworks establishments. The bill addresses a loophole where repeat offenders use new LLCs to restart illegal operations after citations or license revocations. Collaboration between police and health services departments is proposed to enforce the measure, with a public hearing scheduled for Sept. 15.
