GLWA announces $81M plan to improve water main along 14 Mile in Oakland County

The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) announced an $81 million plan to replace and upgrade a water main along 14 Mile Road in Oakland County, addressing four major breaks in seven years. The project includes two phases: replacing 48-inch pipes with 54-inch steel pipes and installing advanced monitoring technology. Construction begins in mid-November and is expected to last until early 2028.
