UN says nearly 150 migrants are dead or missing off West Africa in separate incidents

The UN refugee agency reported nearly 150 migrants dead or missing off West Africa after two incidents between July 14-18, with 387 rescued. The incidents involved a boat from Gambia and Senegal heading toward the Canary Islands, described as one of the deadliest migration routes.
