Stephanie Chatfield, wife of former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield, was sentenced to six months of probation and a $2,000 fine after pleading guilty to embezzling funds from a nonprofit linked to her husband's political activities. Lee Chatfield faces 13 felony charges for allegedly diverting over $130,000 in public and private funds for personal use, while his aides Rob and Anne Minard were charged with embezzling $525,000 from the same nonprofit.
