Multi-agency safety operation leads to 73 arrests, 18 firearm seizures

A multi-agency operation in Charlotte involving the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office resulted in 79 arrests, 18 firearm seizures, and the recovery of four stolen vehicles. The two-day effort focused on reckless and impaired driving, street racing, and traffic enforcement, with 1,281 traffic stops and 2,209 citations issued.
