ICE officers to wear body cameras at traffic stops, White House border czar says
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers will wear body cameras during traffic stops following two fatal shootings. Tom Homan, the border czar, attributed the lack of body cameras to Democratic opposition to ICE funding and authority. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) paused vehicle stops after the shootings but was reversed by President Trump.
