When E.V.K. Sampath hit the headlines in Tamil Nadu
E.V.K. Sampath, nephew of E.V. Ramasamy, had a close relationship with DMK founder C.N. Annadurai. He left the DMK in 1961, recognizing the impracticality of the Dravida Nadu demand, and merged his party with the Congress. His birth centenary is scheduled for March 6, 2026.
